World's Tallest Roller Coasters
Don't go on these coasters if you're afraid of heights. Today, I will be going over the tallest roller coasters in the world. Unfortunately, the majority of these coasters are closed now.
Closed Coasters
Starting with Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. It was the world's tallest roller coaster until its closing in 2025. It was over 450 feet tall.
PhotoTop Thrill 2 in Cedar Point, Ohio, USA is the 2nd tallest coaster. Unfortunately, it temporarily closed in December 2025. It is about 420 feet.
PhotoSuperman: Escape from Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California, USA is the 2nd tallest coaster, launching in 1997. The coaster was over 400 feet tall. Unfortunately, it was closed in 2024.
New Coasters Breaking Records
Falcon's Flight opened on December 31st, 2025 at Al Muzahimiyah, Ar Riyah, Saudi Arabia. It is now the world's tallest coaster at 640 feet.
Tormenta Rampaging Run at Six Flags Over Texas is adding an Immelman Inversion. This ride element will help break 6 records as a giga coaster. A giga coaster is a roller coaster that is 300-399 feet and riders go back where they got on to get off. This new coaster will be exciting to see once its finally done.
The sky's the limit for the future of roller coasters.
